Transparentem
Sophie Broach is an investigations analyst at Transparentem, the New York-based global nonprofit workers’ rights advocate, where she plans and coordinates investigations, analyzes data, conducts research, and writes reports on labor and environmental violations in global supply chains. Prior to joining Transparentem, she worked as a research analyst at Verité, where she helped produce reports documenting labor conditions in the sugar, gold and palm oil industries in Latin America. She also oversaw a network of international labor researchers under Verité’s Emerging Markets Research Program for institutional investors, which evaluated labor-standards compliance in 25 countries. Previously, she served as an analyst at the US Government Accountability Office and as an associate technical advisor at a global health NGO in the Lao PDR, where she helped manage reproductive health and nutrition programs. She holds a BA from Yale University and an MA from Yale’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs.
